Parties & Celebrations
We are always delighted to perform for proposals, anniversaries, birthday celebrations, and christenings - in fact our music can be part of any special occasion. Many of our clients have returned to include our music for more than one occasion, and it has been especially lovely to work closely with families over several years for landmark wedding anniversary celebrations, the marriages of children and siblings, and the christening of grandchildren.
Corporate Events
The Scintillo String Quartet is able to provide a professional and unobtrusive musical backdrop for any event, and our contribution to company launches, drinks receptions and corporate events has included work for high profile clients across Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk and throughout East Anglia & London.
Key to our success is that we recognise that our clients have individual and specific requirements and we can tailor our music and dress accordingly to suit both formal and informal occasions. We work closely with companies to ensure our input to their event is suited to their brand, event and clientele.
Amongst others, our clients have included Audi UK, The White Company, Pearson Longman, Jimmy's Farm, Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, Norfolk & Norwich Hospital Trust, Aldeburgh Music, Colchester Castle, ELT Marketing Events, Anglia Ruskin University, The Fitzwilliam Museum, The University of Essex, Crusaid, and Informa UK.
Concerts and Festivals
As Classically trained musicians, we are always delighted to be invited to perform recitals for music societies, concert series, organisations & also for private house concerts and fundraising events. In recent years our musicians have performed for the Aldeburgh Arts & Literary Society, Maldon Arts, Melford Music, Swaffham Arts, Bury Theatre Royal and at the Chelmsford Festival & the Maldon Festival. Further afield, we have performed at Mansion House, Westminster Hall, Guildhall City of London, for Brighton New Music and in Chamber Music festivals in France and Jersey. We are also often invited to collaborate with many of East Anglia's most eminent choral conductors, and have performed at The Royal Hospital School, Snape Maltings & The Apex in Bury St Edmunds.
Educational Workshops & Performances
Our musicians are regularly engaged in bringing live music to educational settings, giving one-off workshops or themed performances to enhance and support musical or cross-curricular learning. Our musicians have coached for ESTA & at The Ace Foundation, and have collaborated on educational projects with Aldeburgh Music, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, given master classes at Morley College, conducted Youth Training Ensembles at Snape Maltings Concert Hall and have been invited to adjudicate at prestigious Musical Festivals across East Anglia.
Memorial Services, Celebration of Life & Funerals
Music can be one of the most fitting ways to help reflect and commemorate the life of a loved one and Scintillo has provided comforting music, during and after, many funerals and memorial services.
Choosing music for such life events can be difficult and we empathise with how promptly arrangements often need to be made. Sometimes families request just a solo instrument, such as violin or cello, and we are pleased to provide this as an alternative to, or alongside, our string quartet.
We are able to perform particular pieces, or in some circumstances put together appropriate music from our repertoire to assist with your planning and to create an atmosphere of cordiality, celebration and reflection.
